Spreading Stories exists to highlight new churches in the United States and how these faith communities actively spread the story of Jesus in their surrounding areas. The mission of Spreading Stories is to showcase the story of each church’s development, their active ministry, and the future of their church. Spreading Stories hopes to bring church leaders and new congregations together into a community rich with church planting resources

Jordan Watson. Founder and Creator: Jordan is a native to Southern California and grew up playing basketball, water polo, and swimming. Later, he graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Religion and Speech Communication. Currently, Jordan serves in ministry at the Hilltop Church located in El Segundo California. In his free time, Jordan works on Spreading Stories and developed this website because he is fascinated with stories that capture how God calls new people to start innovative churches. Dave Wasson. Writer: 31, is the lead planter for Phoenix City Life in Phoenix Arizona.  He loves Jesus, and he desperately needs his grace all of the time.  He wears bright running shoes to make you think he actually runs, and he quit doing push-ups a long time ago because they were repetitious. He’s a husband to an exceedingly incredible woman who is the epitome of a servant leader. He’s a hack photographer, a self-proclaimed chef, a gamer, an Apple addict (the company, not the fruit), and a sarcasm magnet. Scott Lambert. Network Development: Scott lives in El Segundo with his wife Kim, and three beautiful children. He served 20 years at Pepperdine University as the campus minister. Scott currently works full time with Kairos Church Planting. During his free time Scott helps connect Spreading Stories with new churches and unique church planters. Marcy Nelson. Photography: Marcy is currently studying Interior Design at The Art Institute of California-Los Angeles. She loves trying to capture glimpses of God through design and photography. But nothing makes her feel more alive then when she is serving others. She says that her creativity is her response to her Creator. Chrissy Conway. Development: Chrissy is a wonderful lover of people and servant. She currently works in Marina Del Rey leasing apartments and volunteers for a local youth ministry. Chrissy enjoys surfing, biking, and anything outdoors. During her free time she helps Spreading Stories develop our social media presence as well as edit the interviews.
